Using Altitude Pro Theme

Before I was a K-12 technology teacher at the Phoenix Day School for the Deaf, I was a full-time web developer. Now I’m coming into my sixth year teaching and one of the subjects I teach is Web Development to high school juniors and seniors. I primarily focus on HTML/CSS in that course.

As I teach, I also like to demonstrate cool things my students can achieve with HTML and CSS programming languages. Some of those examples are orangethroat.com and funnyzero.com using snippets I found in CodePen. Lately I’ve been getting the development bug again and wanted to brush up my skills. Hence this website.

Back when I was developing heavily, I always enjoyed using the Genesis Framework from StudioPress. Their themes were always quick to load, SEO friendly, and easy to customize. I figured it would be a good idea to go back to my comfort area and use one of their themes for this website, Altitude Pro.

Granted it’s somewhat like riding a bicycle and things are coming back to me but don’t expect me to compete in the Tour de France anytime soon. This website is my little rusty bicycle that needs some tuning up. With this website, I hope to shake off the rust and take a few spins around the old block.

Pick up a bicycle and join me around the block!
